A Couple of Old Friends

This richly colored landscape is from a photo I took during a walk in the farmland of Mount Barker, South Australia. It was early morning and the sun created a deep reddish glow over the whole area.

It was the perfect setting for Gandalf and Bilbo coming back from another adventure. In case you’re not a fan of Lord of the Rings, or The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein, Gandalf is a mighty, but mostly unassuming Wizard and Bilbo is a Hobbit.

They are both quietly gazing over the beautiful scene, almost invisible….which is just how they would have liked it. Incognito amongst the trees.

Available as Giclee Fine Art prints on Ilford Textured paper, using Museum quality archival ink in colors which are highly accurate to the original painting.

Add a bit of country style with a dash of story book to your room.
There’s something very peaceful about sheep grazing.
Gandalf and Bilbo quietly unobtrusive in this beautiful landscape, but still adding that point of interest.
I love this room, it’s a great example of ‘A Couple of Old Friends’ framed, just so you can see what it might look like.
